- Pull down 'Options' and select 'General Preferences'.
- Choose the 'Helpers' tab.
- Under 'File Type' locate and single click on 'application/ppt'. If it is not present click on 'Create New Type' and create one with this name.
- The 'File Extensions' should contain 'ppt'. If not, add it.
- For 'Action', choose 'Launch the Application:'
- Insure the following box contains the path to Power Point executable and '\powerpnt.exe'. There is a 'Browse' button you may use to locate the executable.
- Under 'File Type' locate and single click on 'application/doc'. If it is not present click on 'Create New Type' and create one with this name.
- The 'File Extensions' should contain 'doc'. If not, add it.
- For 'Action', choose 'Launch the Application:'
- Insure the following box contains the path to the Word executable and '\winword.exe'. There is a 'Browse' button you may use to locate the executable.
- Click OK to close the 'Options' area.
- Click on 'Help' and select 'About Plug-ins'.
- Scroll through the Plug-in list and verify that the 'LiveAudio' plug-in is installed. This default plug-in should cover the following Mime Types and their associated Suffixes. audio/basic - au; audio/x-aiff - aif, aiff; audio/aiff - aif, aiff; audio/x-wav - wav; audio/wav - wav; and audio/x-midi -mid, midi; audio/midi - mid, midi. If additional 'enhanced' plug-ins are installed, some of these Mime Types may be registered to these plug-ins instead of to Live-Audio.
