Design Features:
Any HTML syntax such as "hot links", sound, midi, JPG, etc. is valid in displays or inquiry fields (not data fields). Resources such as sound, midi, JPGs must reside in the appropriate directory on the web server where the link points (such as \pics\myshot.jpg). The browser's "Back" button works. LDA debugging functions are available on the hosting PC for transactions from the browser. You can temporarily disable a business segment without taking the Connector down by simply changing the name in "Active Business Segment" field at the top of Connector. The colored button near the top left of Connector means:
None or White: There is no connection to Monitor. Green: Connected to Monitor, but there is no Business Segment active. Yellow: A Business Segment is active, but idle awaiting input. Red: A transaction has been sent to LDA Run Time and Connector is awaiting a response. If this condition persists, open the LDA Run Time Icon and check the status line. The message there may give a clue as to what is wrong.
Text areas can be defined by painting fields on your screen with identical edit attributes. The fields must be named as follows: TB <data name group> nn, where <data name group> represents the group of painted fields made into a text area and nn represents lines 01 through nn. Each data name group will create a unique text area whose length is the sum of the lengths of each line. An error script is also generated to warn the user when they have exceed the text capacity. When you position the mouse pointer over a field a text window will appear with field level help. This field level help is generated from a) field level help, b) description with the display from host LINC, c) the field DAD or d) the data name. If you have a field (hidden or visible) called GLB-IP, it will be populated with the IP address of the sending browser.
