IE-WEBS

Operations

Information Exchange Group, Inc.

Known limitations:

  1. GLB.CURSOR is now implemented with Connector  1.00.214.
  2. GLB.WORK is shared for all users of a given business segment.  Therefore, you will need to put something on the screen to emulate or point to an equivalent.  If you paint a hidden item called "GLB-IP" it will be filled in with the IP number of the Browser which sent the transaction.
  3. If you issue multiple MESSAGE; commands, you must host the LDA Run Time with Windows 95/98.
  4. Only one active business segment at a time per Connector.
  5. If your logic executes a RECALL; (BYE) all users will be knocked off the system since the LDA Run Time session terminates.
  6. LINCDB.ini must be in the same directory as the LDA Development Repository it serves.  All LDA files and directories must be on the same PC as the Connector.  Multi-user Run Time is not supported, although it might work.
  7. Multiple consecutive spaces in displays compress into one space.  For example, screen titles that are "spaced" across the top of the screen may not render as expected.
  8. Combo boxes should have the same values for the return values as for the displays.
  9. Observe the following restrictions:
  • No squiggles (~) in anything painted (displays, defined listboxes, DADs, DESCs, field level help).
  • No double-quotes in radio button labels, returned listbox data, or field level help.
  • No greater than signs (>) in returned listbox data.
  • Do not paint data items on the screen having any of these names:
IEGSEND, NISPEC, ACTION, SEGMENT, HOST, SUBMIT, NONE
  1. No push (command) buttons called SUBMIT or having that value returned,, no list boxes called "NONE", and no special characters in the Business Segment Description such as ampersand (&).
